Volunteer Success is a registered Canadian charity with the objective of increasing volunteerism.
We want to facilitate volunteer opportunities by providing a user-friendly website with powerful online tools so users can easily discover meaningful volunteer experiences.
Our goal is to create a worldwide community of volunteers and organizations based on collaboration and communication.
We also aim to inspire and inform volunteers as well as help organizations increase volunteerism by providing resources on volunteer management and engagement through our Resource and Learning Centre.
At Volunteer Success, we leverage technology and community to empower volunteers and organizations in need. We connect volunteers to meaningful opportunities and allow organizations to find qualified volunteers.
Why join if you're an organization?
Volunteer Success can help you recruit volunteers by allowing you to post volunteer opportunities, browse profiles, manage applications and communicate with volunteers through our free online platform.
Why join if you're a volunteer?
We can help you find your next volunteer opportunity. Browse volunteer opportunities and organization profiles, communicate with organizations, share your profile to receive potential opportunities from the organizations themselves and manage your applications directly from your profile.
Volunteers can search for volunteer opportunities without joining Volunteer Success. However, volunteers must join if they'd like to apply to a volunteer opportunity or create a volunteer profile.
Organizations are required to join the Volunteer Success website in order to create an organization profile, post a volunteer opportunity, browse volunteer profiles and message volunteers they're interested in.
There is no cost to join Volunteer Success either as an organization or a volunteer and all of our services are free.
We welcome any Canadian organizations that offer volunteer opportunities to join Volunteer Success. These may include, but are not limited to:
Unfortunately the following may not register on Volunteer Success: for-profit organizations, social enterprises, individuals looking for support, and political parties.
At this time, Volunteer Success is only available to organizations with locations in Canada.
We may open up to non-Canadian organizations in the future.
Volunteer Success reviews all Canadian organizations that are interested in joining Volunteer Success and performs due diligence to verify as best as we can that they are a legitimate organization.
Some organizations may require criminal background checks and professional references before accepting a volunteer. These screening requirements are managed through the specific organization that you connect with. Volunteer Success does not perform background checks or professional references on volunteers.
Content creators for the Resource and Learning Centre include nonprofit professionals, business leaders, CSR practitioners, academics, HR professionals, fundraisers, social media leaders, volunteers who have a message for nonprofits, or anyone with something to say about volunteer recruitment, engagement, and/or management, or have advice for those that work and volunteer in the field.
